Speakers

Linda Childress will open the Ladies Inspiration Day as the first speaker with a message titled “Soil Preparation: Growing Deeper.” Linda was born and raised in northern Minnesota but was transplanted into the warmer soil of Louisville where she now attends Hikes Point Christian Church, teaching and serving others as they grow in Christ.

Betty Gillaspie is the second speaker on the program for Ladies Inspiration Day. In keeping with the “Home Grown” theme, her presentation is titled “Food for Thought.” Betty is a pastor’s wife, a mother, grandmother, and a small business owner who enjoys singing and sewing (though not at the same time). Ohio-raised, God has planted her in Louisville at Kentucky Avenue Church of Christ.

Kentucky-native Pattie Bradshaw is married to her high-school sweetheart and attends North Bullitt Christian Church where she has taught ladies Sunday School classes for 20 years, also often speaking at ladies’ meetings like ours. As the third speaker on the program, Pattie brings us a message on “Tending the Garden.”

Shirley Smith, a member of LaGrange Church of Christ since the 1950s, will round off the speakers for Ladies Inspiration Day with the timely message, “Harvest is Coming.” Shirley enjoys puzzles and reading and is mother to our song leader for the day, Vickie Schuler.
